A full time professional magician, Billy Bubbles has presented his magic and Punch & Judy Shows all over the country, from living rooms to public parks and corporate hospitality suites to Ireland’s leading theatres.

Billy has been resident magician at Bloom in the Park and The Dublin Horse Show for over 7 and 15 years respectively.  

In addition to many corporate clients and festivals kids party magician Billy Bubbles has also entertained privately in the homes of many of Ireland leading social, political, musical and sporting figures.

Billy is, under his real name Brendan, is one of the countries most sought after magicians.  Specialising in close-up magic for weddings, corporate events, private parties and restaurants & bars his work in this area has garnered much praise.

Within the magic industry

Brendan is also hugely respected by his peers within the magic industry and is a former President & Secretary of The Society of Irish Magicians.  In 2009 he was invited to join the prestigious Magic Circle in London.

In 2008, 2011 & 2014 he produced the Dublin magician’s convention Shenanigans which garnered international trade press.  

From 2010 to 2017 he also owned, produced, edited and published IrishMagicNews, the countries leading news and blog site for magicians and the magic community in Ireland.

As an inspiration

Like so many, the pandemic saw Brendan and his wife Natalie spending more and more time at home. Natalie, always a natural party hostess and avid baker became reinvigorated. New recipes and ideas were popping up daily and with a toddler in the house she suddenly found herself teaching him how to bake and decorate on a daily basis.

Brendan (at this stage in the pandemic unable to perform his magic shows) also caught the baking buzz, even mastering sourdough. It was during these family baking days that chats would turn to “we could make a business out of this”.

From Brendan’s experience in the birthday party market he realised that a baking party primarily aimed at the 7 - 12 year olds could be a hit and in autumn 2021 Sprinkles Baking Parties became a reality.
